New Year – New Me

We don’t have to wait long to see,

The promises we never meant we break so easily,

It doesn’t matter as long as we buy,

All the new things that we don’t need,

Post resolutions on Instagram,

You know:

New Year – New Me.

I’ll go five days a week,

My hobby will make me rich,

I’ll post on Goodreads,

Draw a dog on Strava,

Meal prep on Sundays,

A new smoothie recipe every day,

New Year – New Me.

Then when I’m done,

I can relax, get back to normal,

Do what I’ve always done,

Until January of course,

When it will be,

New Year – New Me.
