Poem: I sit slowly now
I sit slowly now,
Appearing somewhat calm
The raging torrents have given way
To babbling brooks with still banks
Worn smooth by time, talking low
Calm water caressing gently those who dare
If you look closely, gaze deeply
You will see the scars of violence
There among the dark rocky pools
Quiet, yet with a dark menace still
Time was not kind forging this shady place
Deep roots whisper of struggles all around
Here battles were won more than once
So we can slip away in tranquillity's embrace
